Dr. George Kovacs, MD, MHPE, FRCP(C)

Dr. George Kovacs is a full-time professor of Emergency Medicine and is cross-appointed in the Department of Anaesthesia, Department of Medical Neuroscience and Division of Medical Education at Dalhousie University. He works clinically as an Emergency Physician and Trauma Team Leader at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. He is Medical Director of Lifeflight, the Provincial critical care transport program. He holds a Masters of Health Professions Education from the University of Illinois where he developed his interest in procedural skill learning and is the Director of the Clinical Cadaver Program at Dalhousie. He is an award-winning educator who co-developed the internationally recognized airway education program (Airway Interventions & Management in Emergencies- AIME). He has four children and in addition to his passion for airway management education he loves being at his cottage on the Medway river spending time with his two loves of his life, his family and his Massey Ferguson tractor.

Dr. Adam Law, MD, FRCP(C)

Dr. Adam Law is Professor of Anesthesia at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He started medical practice with 6 years as a rural general practitioner. This was followed by a residency in Anesthesia and subspecialty training in neuroanesthesia at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. He has worked in Halifax as an attending anesthesiologist ever since. Adam is co-director of both the Canadian AIME airway courses and the US-based Difficult Airway Course and teaches in both courses on a regular basis. He also chairs the Canadian Airway Focus Group, which published  Canadian airway management guidelines in 2013 that are currently being updated. He is a member and contributor of the Project for Universal Management of Airways (PUMA). He has authored numerous airway related puplications and book chapters. He is Co-Editor of the Infinity Edition Airway Management in Emergencies open access text. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, running, skiing and playing tennis.
